Men's Soccer Hosts Old United East Foe

On Wednesday night, the Wells College men's soccer team returned to the turf when they hosted an old conference foe, Penn College.

Men's soccer was still searching for their first win of the season and would love to get it at home.

Penn College took a small lead in this one when early in the first half the Wildcats scored the first goal of the game on a penalty kick. Later in the half the Wildcats scored on a deep kick outside the box and carried a 2-0 lead into halftime. For Wells, the first half did not produce a scoring opportunity. The offense made some good runs but none of them were able to create a shot on goal.  Penn College extended their lead to four after two long rebounds on saved shots. A few free kicks for the Express gave them some chances to find the back of the net in the second half. After 90 minutes of physical play, the Express fell at home by a score of 6-0.

Up next for men's soccer, they will head to Pitt Greensburg for a conference match-up on Saturday at 4:15 PM
