Record Broken at Day 4 of Allegheny Empire Swimming and Diving Championships

Wells College Swimming had a record breaking day at the Allegheny Empire Swimming and Diving Championships in the final day of competition on Saturday. Junior Qulik Evans broke the All Time Wells Record for the 200 Butterfly with a time of 2:15.13, putting him in the finals Saturday night where he finished 18th for the Championships.  Also swimming well this morning and moving up the leader board to 5th for All Wells Top 10 was Zoey Barr's 58.97 in the 100 Freestyle in the prelims in the morning session. Barr finished 15th in the finals with a time of 58.26, an even faster time and moving her up again.  

Senior Rowan Mayette also advanced to the finals Saturday night in the 200 Backstroke with a time of 2:30.18 and in the 200 Butterfly with a time of 2:54.67 in the preliminary rounds.  Mayette finsihed  15th in the 200 Backstroke with a time of 2:29.72 and 13th in the 200 Butterfly with a time of 2:52.18. The 400 Freestyle women's team consisting of Mayette, Barr, Janelle Smalls and Liz Decker also advanced to the finals and finished 8th with a time of 4:31.43.
