Day 2 at Allegheny Empire Swimming Championships

Webster, N.Y.-

Wells College men's and women's swimming team competed in Day 2 of the Allegheny Empire Championships on Thursday in the second session, capped off by a personal record set by first year Zoey Barr on the women's team.  Barr's time of 26.57 in the 50 Freestyle placed her 3rd in the record books for Wells College women's swimming.  The women's team also had a stand out day with a time of 2:03.3 for their 200 Freestyle Relay team of Barr, Liz Decker, Janelle Smalls, and Rowan Mayette.  

The men's swimming team also had a strong showing today in the morning session from Qulik Evans in the 500 Freestyle, taking 20 seconds off his best time with a 5:35.60.  This places Evans in 8th place all time for Wells men's swimming.  Lindon Utz swam 3:10.45 in the 200 IM, and Kevin Reilly a 29.61 in the 50 Freestyle.  Click here for more information about the Championships.
