LATE GOAL SINKS EXPRESS AT WILSON TOURNAMENT

Chambersburg, PA – The St. Vincent College field hockey team scored with less than two minutes remaining in regulation as the Wells field hockey team fell 1-0 in the consolation game of the Wilson College Independent Field Hockey Championship on Sunday afternoon in Chambersburg, PA. Martha Knowlan finished with three saves in the loss. Frostburg took the championship defeating Wilson College 1-0 in the later game.  

Despite outshooting St. Vincent 6-5 and holding a 9-8 advantage in penalty corners, the Express were unable to score on goalie Jackie Novak who finished with five saves.

Junior Adrienne Tomao and freshmen Shelby Moszkowicz were both named to the All-Tournament Team for their performance in the tournament.

The Express finished the 2009 season at 1-14 while St. Vincent finished the season at 6-11.
