TETER SMASHES 200 IM RECORD

Aurora, New York – The Wells College swim team ran into a tough William Smith squad as the Express loss 106-77 on Tuesday night. The Wells men were led by Drew Teter (Campbe, NY) who smashed the 200 IM record by over ten seconds with a time of 2:25.83, Chris Guard (Youngstown, NY) who set the fifth fastest time in the 200 free at 2:36.20, Anthony Monachino (Macedon, NY) who set the third fastest time in the 500 free at 6:34.64, and Kristopher Bradt (Syracuse, NY) who set the second fastest time in the 200 breast stroke at 3:06.47.

On the women's side, Idolyn Villioitti (Amherst, NH) set the tenth fastest time in women's history in the 200 backstroke with a time of 2:43.04, while Jackie Ross (Rensselaer, NY) took four seconds off her top time in the 200 butterfly at 2:43.04 (7th).

The swim teams will be back in action at home against Utica College on Wednesday, November 12th, at 6:00 pm.
