Men's Cross Country Takes 12th At Hamilton Invitational

The Wells College men's cross country team took 12th place at the Hamilton College Cross Country Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 8. The eight-kilometer course covered the grounds of the Hamilton College Golf Course in Clinton, N.Y. and the race was run under rainy, windy conditions. A total of 154 runners competed in the race and 14 teams scored in the event.

Tanner Mingen was the top finisher for Wells, he crossed in 89th place overall and scored 62 points with a time of 29 minutes, 39 seconds. Adam M. Sleezer was next across the line for Wells in 30:30.

Antonio D'Arpino ran 32:25, Ross Cobb completed the race in 32:58 and Bradlee Sherman rounded out the scoring lineup for Wells in 33:49

Other Wells competitors included John Tolley who finished in 34:19 and Ky'aire Reed with a time of 35:10.

The team scored 365 points and finished ahead of Herkimer County Community College and NEAC member Cazenovia College.

Wells will next compete Saturday, Oct. 15 at the Cross Country Only Conference Championships hosted by Hobart and William Smith Colleges at Seneca Lake State Park in Geneva, N.Y.
