Wells Athletes Demonstrate Success In Academics
A total of 78 Wells College student-athletes demonstrated excellent academic performance and earned recognition as North Eastern Athletic Conference Scholar-Athletes for the 2016-17 academic year. Wells ranked fourth among the 14 full NEAC member institutions with 78 NEAC Scholar-Athletes. All three institutions ranked ahead of Wells have more than double the overall enrollment.
In order to be selected, a student-athlete competing in a conference-sponsored sport must achieve a combined grade-point average of 3.4 or higher for the fall and spring semesters and must have been in good standing on his or her team.
Across the conference's 14 full-member institutions and six associate member schools, the conference set a record with 806 student-athletes earning NEAC Scholar-Athlete distinction.
