Men’s Swimming Posts 81-38 Loss To Oswego State

AURORA, N.Y. – Senior captain Matthew Sleezer (Gloversville, N.Y.) secured two first place finishes as the Wells College men's swimming team posted an 81-38 loss to the Lakers of Oswego State College on Saturday. The Express fall to 0-2 overall in head-to-head meets in the 2013-14 season while Oswego State (1-2) collects their first victory of the season.

Sleezer's time of 1:57.48 in the 200 Yard Freestyle granted the Express five points en route to the loss. In the 50 Yard Freestyle, Sleezer collected a first place victory after completing the event in 23 seconds – his all-time program record of 21.94 came at the North Eastern Athletic Conference championships on Feb. 15, 2013. 

Junior Tyler Fischetti (Weedsport, N.Y.) recorded a strong performance for the Express in the 200 Yard Butterfly, placing second with a time of 2:32.58 while earning three points for a silver finish.

The Express return to action Saturday, Nov. 9 as they face-off against Utica College in a 1:00 p.m. road meet.
