Men’s Swimming Team Bests Cazenovia in Opener

The Wells College men's swimming team defeated Cazenovia College by a 49-17 score on Feb. 20, 2021 at the Cazenovia College Natatorium.

The Express won five of the six events with Aaron Connolly taking three events and Aidan Cort winning a pair on the day.

Connolly won a pair of breaststrokes and one IM. In the 50-yard breaststroke, the senior captain was clocked at 36.24. In the 100-yard breaststroke, he registered a winning time of 1:21.43.

In the final men's event of the day, Connolly was clocked with a 2:54.13 time in the 200-yard IM.

Cort took a pair of freestyle races on the day beginning with the 50-yard free with a 30.84 time and then won the 100-yard free with a winning time of 1:11.55.

The men's team is back in action next Saturday, Feb. 27, with the team's first home meet of the season against SUNY Delhi.
