Baseball Team To Hold Open Tryout

The Wells College baseball team will host an open tryout for full-time, enrolled Wells College students for the team’s inaugural 2016-17 season. The tryout will be held at the Artificial Turf Field on campus Monday, Aug. 29 from 7-9:30 p.m.

All interested participants must complete required sports medicine forms prior to attending the tryout. The forms are available at Wells’ Sports Medicine website and contact information about the process is available there.

Players are asked to wear traditional baseball practice attire and footware for the tryout, and should bring a glove. Players may bring other equipment, including bats, but some bats will be provided. The baseball team will practice during its non-traditional season with 16 practices in the fall of 2016 and begin varsity competition in the spring of 2017. Participation in the open tryout is not a guarantee of selection to participate with the varsity team.
