Express Maintain Meteoric Offense, Annihilate Alfred University to Open Week

AURORA, NY - Everything was going for the Express during their Monday non-conference meeting with the Alfred University Saxons. Earlier this season, Wells defeated Alfred by scores of 11-6 and 20-0. On Monday alone, the Express surpassed the total amount of runs scored in both of those previous games combined after just 7 innings of play. A constant barrage of base-knocks allowed the Express to record an unbelievable 27 hits in a 35-0 destruction of Alfred.

Many Express batters had themselves a day, here are some of their statistics:

The Express' dominance was unparalleled on the mound too, as 5 Wells pitchers combined to spin a 7-inning shutout.

Nick Manee got the start and the win, going 4 innings and logging his 3rd victory of the season. Manee only allowed 2 Saxon hits, and also sat down 4 Alfred batters via the K during Monday's action.

The Express will look to replicate this performance on Thursday when they return to the AMCC gauntlet. They will travel to Penn State Behrend with an opportunity to move even closer to the #6 spot in the AMCC.
