Hayman, Express Back On Track After 15-6 Victory Against Defenders

The Express baseball team got back on track Tuesday as they defeated Clarks Summit 15-6 due in large part to junior Cameron Hayman and the offense firing on all cylinders.

It wasn't the amount of hits that did it for the Express, as they were actually out-hit 13-11 by the Defenders. Rather, the quality of those hits is what eventually gave the Express an overwhelming advantage, as they limited Clarks Summit to only 1 extra base hit on the day while simultaneously slugging 5 of their own. Factoring in the impressive 6 stolen bases that the Wells baserunners managed to nab, it's easy to see why the gap in this game became so wide despite the common amount of hits.

Cameron Hayman was a huge part of the Express success on Tuesday, as the California native got it done all over the diamond, going 3-for-4 with 2 doubles, 2 RBI, 2 runs scored, 1 steal, and 1 walk.

Brothers Max Odum and Zack Odum also recorded similar but strong outings as the pair each went 2-for-5 with 2 RBI, 2 runs scored, and a stolen base.

The Express used the offensive explosion to power their 1st win of spring break. They'll look for a repeat performance tomorrow against Plymouth State at 12:30 PM as the trip rolls along in Myrtle Beach.
