Bio

Adair Milmoe was named both the Head Coach of Field Hockey as well as the Assistant Athletics Director for Student Success at Wells College in the fall of 2023.

Milmoe began both roles on August 15th of 2023, and the 2023 Field Hockey season was her first as the Head Coach of the Express. In her first season at the helm, Milmoe had 10 players achieve academic honors with NFHCA (the governing body of NCAA Field Hockey).

Despite this position being her first at Wells College, Milmoe boasts a wealth of experience in the field, having over 20 years of Field Hockey and Women's Lacrosse coaching experience at numerous noteworthy Division III programs. Milmoe has a proven talent for building programs to not only achieve amazing results on the field, but also grow and achieve standout results in the classroom too, as displayed by her previous experiences. Milmoe's coaching journey has taken her to places such as Cazenovia College, Morrisville State, Colgate University, and SUNY Oswego.

Prior to arriving at Wells, Milmoe was the Head Coach of Women's Lacrosse and the Assistant Director of Trio at Cazenovia College. At Cazenovia, Milmoe established competitive programs that managed to reach great heights both on and off the field. During her tenure at the college she reached the championship of the NEAC in 2 out of her 3 postseason appearances. In just her first season as Cazenovia’s women’s lacrosse coach, Milmoe led the Wildcats to an (11-6, 8-1 NEAC) record, and the programs first ever regular season championship.

Milmoe transitioned Morrisville State field hockey from NJCAA to NCAA status during her tenure with the Mustangs from 2006-11. She also coached a regional all-American during her tenure at Morrisville (Lauren Bordonaro) and was an assistant coach for the Mustangs' women's lacrosse program.

Milmoe spent time as an assistant coach for the women's lacrosse program at Division I Colgate.

She also grew the field hockey and women's lacrosse teams at SUNY Oswego into reputable programs from 2001-05. While at Oswego, Milmoe captured the 2005 SUNYAC Women's Lacrosse Coach of the Year.

Milmoe has coached countless SUNYAC and NEAC all-conference players, while also seeing plenty of players receive academic all-american honors while under her tutelage.

Milmoe, a former college athlete, played both field hockey and women’s lacrosse at perennial NCAA Division III powerhouse, William Smith College. As a player, Milmoe competed in the NCAA Division III National Championship for Women's Lacrosse and the National Semifinal for Field Hockey.

A native of Stony Brook, New York, Milmoe attended Ward-Melville in high school where she also participated in Field Hockey and Women's Lacrosse.
