Aurora, NY – The Cazenovia Wildcats men's soccer team scored on a deflected shot late in the first-half for the only goal of the game as the Wildcats blanked the visiting Wells Express 1-0 Sunday afternoon in Cazenovia. The loss drops the Express to 5-12 on the season while the Wildcats improved to 8-6-1.
Wildcat forward Logan Spaulding scored the only goal in the 42nd minute as his shot from the right side of the goal deflected off an Express defender and over the head of goalie Mike Birklin (6 saves) for the score.
The Wildcats outshot the Express 20-6 and held a 5-1 advantage in corner kicks.
The Express will look to bounce back against Utica College on Wednesday, October 28 at 3:30 pm at Wells.
