Express Drop 104-78 Decision At SUNY Brockport

BROCKPORT, N.Y. – The Wells College men's swimming team posted a 104-78 loss to the Golden Eagles of The College at Brockport Saturday afternoon at the James B. Fulton Natatorium.

In the men's 50 Yard Freestyle, junior Matthew Sleezer (Gloversville, N.Y.) led the field of five swimmers and posted a time of 22.48 seconds, earning nine points for his team. Sleezer also placed second in the men's 100 Yard Butterfly, trailing the leader by only three seconds. Jacob Cohn (Upland, Calif.) earned nine points for his team, placing first in the men's 100 Yard Breaststroke with a time of 1:20.

The Express were also able to secure the best time in the men's 400 Yard Freestyle Relay, collecting 11 points with the relay squad of Matthew VanAmerongen (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.), Thomas Laier (East Nassau, N.Y.), Patrick Munroe (Williamsville, N.Y.) and Sleezer by posting a time of 3:45.59.

The men's swimming team returns to action Saturday, Nov. 10 as they host Utica College at 1:00 p.m. at the Wells College Aquatic Center.
