Women’s Swimming Set Back By Brockport St., 73-22

AURORA, N.Y. – Sophomore Hilary Feudale (Coal Township, Pa.) collected two second place finishes Friday evening as the Wells College women's swimming team recorded a 73-22 loss to the Golden Eagles of The College at Brockport in the Wells College Aquatic Center. With each institution participating in the first head-to-head meet of the year, Wells drops to 0-1 overall while the Golden Eagles improve to 1-0 on the young season.

Feudale posted a second place time of 26.72 seconds in the Women's 50 Yard Freestyle, just narrowly earning silver behind Erin Luke's 50 yard time of 26.05. In the Women's 100 Yard Backstroke, Feudale earned three points with a time of 1:06.02 – she holds the program record with a time of 1:03.63 and her time this evening would place her second all-time in program history.

Junior Olive Touron (Cato, N.Y.) secured three points for Wells in the Women's 100 Yard Freestyle, finishing in 1:02.92 to place second overall in the event. The Women's 200 Yard Freestyle Relay foursome of junior Hallie Hanson (Ashville, N.Y.), sophomore Stephanie Todd (Norwich, N.Y.), senior captain Britta Kilbourn (Scotia, N.Y.) and freshman Amelia Flint (Bath, N.Y.) completed their event with a combined time of 2:01.78, earning seven points for Wells in the late stages of the meet.

In a pre-meet ceremony, the 2012-13 Wells College women's swimming team was honored after securing their program's second-ever North Eastern Athletic Conference title and their second in as many seasons.
The Express return to action Saturday, Nov. 2 as they host the Lakers of Oswego State College in a 1:00 p.m. meet at the Wells College Aquatic Center.
