Field Hockey Closes Regular Season At Hartwick

The Wells College field hockey team wrapped up its regular season with a mid-week non-conference matchup at Hartwick College on Wednesday, Oct. 26 in Oneonta, N.Y. The host Hartwick Hawks won 3-0. Wells closed the regular season with a 4-14 overall record and Hartwick improved to 13-3. Hartwick is the second-place team in the Empire 8.

Wells is back in action Saturday, Oct. 29 at home for the North Eastern Athletic Conference Championship game at 1 p.m. The Express hosts Wilson College. It is the second year in a row that these teams have met for the NEAC title, with Wells winning last year's match by a 1-0 score.

Against Hartwick, goalkeeper Kelsey Kokosa made 12 saves. It was her highest save total of the year and of her career. Hartwick scored twice in the first half and once in the second half.
