Graduating Team Members Honored In Men's Swim Loss To Pitt-Bradford

The Wells College men's swimming team hosted Pitt-Bradford on Saturday, Jan. 14 at the Schwartz Athletic Center Pool. Pitt-Bradford scored a 58-34 win in the dual-meet.

Prior to the meet, graduating members of the swim team – senior Lucas Donnenwirth and junior Tyler Lewis – were honored by head coach Trish George and their Express teammates.

Donnenwirth earned maximum points for Wells in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 6:13.94 and took second in the 1,000-yard freestyle in 12:53.88. Lewis was second in the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:19.35.

Ian Ronan earned an individual event win for the Express with a winning time of 1:10.97 in the 100-yard breaststroke. The 200-yard freestyle relay team of Donnenwirth, Arthur Brooks, Adam Sleezer, and Austin Heil clocked in at 1:47.17.

Wells continues a busy week of action with a home meet Tuesday at 6 p.m. against Penn State-Altoona at the Schwartz Center Pool.
