NFHCA Recognizes 2023 DIII National Academic Squad

Yesterday the National Field Hockey Coaches Association recognized the academic achievements of over 1,800 Division III student-athletes by naming them to the 2023 DIII National Academic Squad, ten of which play for the Wells College field hockey team. The National Academic Squad program, sponsored by OPA Winning Teams, honors undergraduate student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher through the first semester of the current academic year and have been nominated by their head coach.

The recognized students from Wells include Madilyn Babb, Issie Boissonault, Morgan Brown, India Buff, SadieLyn Combs, Kayla Groth, Grace Kahl, Erin Snow, Lauren Spiegel, and Trinity Thornton. Six out of these ten honorees are first-year students.

This year's list includes the most Wells field hockey players ever named to the NFHCA National Academic Squad, the previous Wells record being nine players during the 2019 season.

Congratulations to these hard-working student athletes from the field hockey team! Go Express!
