Women's Soccer falls at home to the Tigers

The Wells College women's soccer team hosted SUNY Coblekskill in their second consecutive home match-up. The Tigers bested the Express with a second-half surge to win 5-2.

In the 14th minute, the Tigers started the scoring with an unassisted goal by Ashlynn DeRonda. DeRonda would go on to score twice in this match-up. In the 33rd minute, Lydia Thomas would bury one from deep for the Express tied the game up at 1 a piece. That would do it for scoring in the first half but once again Jade Bouvier was in goal for the first half stopping 3 of 4 shots on goal. In the second half, The Tigers would score 3 goals in less than 10 minutes of game time. One of those goals was an own goal by the Express. Despite some extra effort by Lauren Kimbal on offense, who scored the first goal of her collegiate career today, the Express would fall to the Tigers at home.

The Express were outshot 13-6.

Women's Soccer will be back on Friday when they host Keystone College.

Express Stat Leaders:
