Wells Express Athletes of the Week 10/28

Congratulations to Ericka Arancio and Denzel McKenzie for being named Wells Express Athletes of the Week!

Ericka Arancio scored the only goal of the weekend for the women's soccer team off a set piece from 30 out to equalize the game at the time versus Penn College on Saturday. Ericka's goal on Saturday tied her for the team in goals (3) and total points (7), as well as being tied for the team lead in assists (1). Ericka is also a graduating senior and was nominated by her head coach Patrick Arancio. Ericka comes to Wells College from Clinton, NY, and Herkimer County Community College. 

Denzel McKenzie, in just his first meet for Wells College, landed himself in the number two spot all-time at Wells College for the men's 100-meter backstroke. This is Denzel's first year here at Wells College and he comes from Cleveland Heights, Ohio. Denzel was nominated by his head coach Trish George.  

The women's soccer season has wrapped up but Wells College men's swimming will be back in action Saturday, November 12th at Medaille College.
