Women's Volleyball Sweeps The Wildcats

Wells College women's volleyball was back in action on the road Tuesday evening when they took on the Wildcats of SUNY Poly

After securing two wins this weekend, the Express looked to make it three in a row. Brianah Dawson served up six straight points in the first set to open up a 7-2 lead. Alycia Wilson and Elise Peacock each had multiple kills to carry the Express to a 25-17 win in the first set.

In the second set, after letting the Wildcats hang around, serves from Roosa Armstead-Lehti built an Express lead to 18-11. A kill by Ellie Te and serves from Elayna McDermott secured a win in the second set, 25-15.

Wells opened a 3-0 lead in the third set but found themselves tied at nine and eventually down two points to the Wildcats. Brianah Dawson and Ellie Te strung together serves that helped the Express gain back the lead and Sarina Soto finished the set with a serve capped off with a kill by Marta Corral Cajigas

Wells took down the Wildcats in three straight sets, 25-16.

Women's Volleyball will not head to the West Coast for four matches on Friday and Saturday in Oregon.
