Wells Express Athletes of The Week 10/18

Congratulations to this week's Wells Express Athletes of The Week Stephen Winans and Roosa Armstead Lehti!

Roosa Armstead Lehti was selected this week based on her performance last week against Alfred State and Mt Aloysius. As a Libero for the Express Armstead Lehti has tallied her 1000th Dig this season for Wells which ranks her in the top five all time. In two matches last week, she tallied 35 digs, 51 receptions, and 10 services aces. So far this season, she leads the Express in digs and digs per set. Roosa was nominated this week by her head coach Mark Lucas. She is in her junior season at Wells and comes to us from Kailua, Hawaii.

Stephen Winans was selected this week based on his performance this season. This season Stephen played center back, center defensive mid, and midfield. As this season progressed Stephen became more of a vocal leader on the field directing traffic from the back line of the defense. "Stephen has made great progress this year and I'm excited to see what he brings to us as a second-year player next season." Head Coach Jim McIntyre. Stephen comes to Wells College from Syracuse, New York, and is in his first year. He was nominated this week by his head coach Jim McIntyre.
