Wells Express Athletes of The Week 9/20

Congratulations to this week's athletes of the week, Ashton Morris and Miah Williamson!

Ashton Morris (Men's Soccer) was selected this week based on his performance in the men's soccer game at Penn State Altoona. As a midfielder, Ashton has been solid all year for the Express but in the first conference game, he played exceptionally well. He helped the Express hold Altoona to only two goals on the day in an unfortunate road loss. So far this season, Ashton leads the Express in assists as well. He was nominated this week by his head coach, Jim McIntyre. Ashton is in his first year at Wells College and comes to us from Schuylerville, New York.

Miah Williamson (Women's Volleyball) was selected this week based on her performance in the women's volleyball home opener against Elmira College. Miah had a game high twenty-one kills with a .528 attack percentage against the soaring Eagles. This game went into five sets and Miah was integral in closing out Elmira College and helping the Express win their home opener. So far this season, Miah is third in the conference in hit percentage and third in blocks per set. Miah was nominated this week by her head coach Mark Lucas. This is Miah's senior season with the Express and comes to us from Elk Grove, California.
