Wells Hosts Penn college for 3 game series

The Express hosted Penn College for a 3 game series starting Saturday evening.

This was another conference match-up for Wells College and they hoped to improve their conference record which before the series started was 2-6. 

In the first game of the series on Saturday evening, the bats were very quiet for the Express. they tallied only 4 hits including one extra-base hit from Max Odum. The Express also had some issues in the field where they had 4 errors or the game. Penn College however produced 13 runs on 18 hits. The Express would fall in the series opener 13-0.

In the second game, after 3 innings the Express found themselves down 8-0. In the bottom of the 4th, John Valinoti singled to center field sending home Max Odum and giving the Express their first run of the weekend. Then in the 6th, Bradly Mills singled and Luke Eitner scored from third. Unfortunately, the Penn College bats would stay hot and they would win the second game by a score of 11-2. 

In the last game of the weekend, Penn College scored in 7 straight innings against the Express. In the field, the Express would tally 3 more errors as well. In the 5th, Julian Kemp would score on a throwing error by the Wildcats' third baseman. In the 6th, Aaron Izquierdo would also score on a throwing error by the third baseman. Then, Zac Legaretta would single to left which scored Bradly Mills. Penn College would win this one as well and weep the Express by a score of 10-3. 

Baseball will be back in action Wednesday when they host SUNY Brockport!
