Freshman Spotlight : Anna Bernatavitz

The Wells College athletics department closes out the 2020 calendar year with a series of first-year freshmen athlete profiles. Today's feature is women's soccer midfielder and forward Anna Bernatavitz.

Anna Bernatavitz is a freshman on the Wells College women's soccer team. The Elmira, N.Y. native is one of two new midfielders for head coach Patrick Arancio.

Despite being homeschooled for three of her four high school years, Anna took the field for one season at Notre Dame High School.

That lone soccer season was memorable for Anna, as she was able to help her team to a final four appearance. In addition to that season, Anna spent several other seasons playing soccer club and travel soccer in the Elmira area.

What stands out from her first season at Wells was being back on the field and once again being part of a team.
