The Wells College women's soccer team traveled to Penn State Harrisburg on Saturday, Oct. 9 in the first United East Conference matchup between the two teams.
Prior to the health pandemic, the Nittany Lions advanced to the North Eastern Athletic Conference title game in 2019 and finished runner-up to Penn State Berks prior to the NEAC rebranding as United East.
Penn State Harrisburg got out to a four-goal first half lead before adding a pair in the second.
Wells goalkeeper Jennifer McCumber finished the contest with 11 saves on the night and improved her D-III nation-leading save total to 135 on the season.
The women's soccer team next continues conference play when it hosts Lancaster Bible College on Saturday, Oct. 16, with a 5 p.m. start.
