Women's Soccer falls behind early to Penn-St Abington.

Women's Soccer falls behind early to Penn-St Abington.

On Saturday the 23rd, Express women's soccer hosted Penn-St Abington.

The women of Penn-St Abington were coming off a loss to Penn-St Berks earlier in the week while the Express women were coming off a loss earlier this week when they traveled to SUNY Morrisville.

This United East Conference match-up got off to a quick start when just over 2 minutes into the game Penn-St Abington scored their first goal. They quickly followed that up with a goal at the 6-minute mark as well, and finally a 3rd at the 10-minute mark of the first. The Express continued to battle and grind out every possession to try and produce scoring opportunities but Penn-St Abington was able to secure a 4-0 lead heading into halftime. In the second half, Ericka Arancio was able to put the Express on the board in the 54th minute but it was too little too late as the Express fell at home by a score of 8-1.

The Women's soccer team will be back in action next Saturday the 30th at Penn-St Berks.
