The Wells College men's soccer team hosted Elmira College on Tuesday, Oct. 5 in a non-conference match.
After a single goal separated the teams at the half, Elmira got a pair to take a three-goal lead.
Justin Butler responded with an unassisted tally in the 62nd minute to get the Express within a pair before the Soaring Eagles rounded out the scoring. The goal gave Butler consecutive games with points and the senior led the team in shots on the night with a pair.
Current United East Conference Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week Colton Jaquith, recorded seven saves on the night to leave him with 106 for the season. That total is a career season-high for Jaquith after registering 102 saves in 2019. Jaquith continues to lead all D-III goalkeepers nationally in saves.
The men's soccer team next returns to conference play with a road game at Penn State Harrisburg on Saturday, Oct.9 with a 12 p.m. start.
