Crawford Named to 2021 NEAC Baseball All-Sportsmanship Team

LATHAM, N.Y. – Wells College senior Ian Crawford was one of six players from the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) named to its Baseball All-Sportsmanship Team for the 2021 season.

The Syracuse native, who is a first baseman for the Express, appeared in 19 games this past season and finished with 11 hits, seven runs, seven RBI, .275 batting average, .388 on-base percentage, .350 slugging percentage with 95 putouts and a perfect fielding percentage.

The NEAC All-Sportsmanship Team recognizes student-athletes who epitomize the ideals of sportsmanship. Student-athletes selected to the all-sportsmanship team demonstrate fair play, graciousness in victory and respectfulness in defeat. Each individual has been chosen by their coach as a representative who embodies the Division III spirit.

Joining Crawford on the 2021 NEAC Baseball All-Sportsmanship team are Pat Maloney (Penn State Berks), Ryan McCarty (Penn State Abington), Chase Smith (Penn State Harrisburg), Blake Greenly (Lancaster Bible) and Connor Burke (Penn College).

These six baseball players are ambassadors for their teams, both on and off the field, and galvanize their teammates toward their goals. They exhibit respect for themselves, teammates, coaches, opponents, officials, spectators, and the greater campus community.
