Men's Soccer Falls To Clarks Summit On The Road

The Wells College men's soccer team was on the road once again, this time at Clarks Summit. The Express would lose to the defenders at the University of Scranton by the score of 6-1. 

The Defenders of Clarks Summit came out with a bang finding the back of the net only 2 minutes into the game. Jeremiah Taylor gave the Defenders the lead over the Express with the assist from Joel Funez. Twenty-two minutes later the Express was hit with some deja vu when Taylor scored once again with the assist from Funez. Clarks summit would score two more times in the 36th and 28th minute to take a 4-0 lead over Wells College going into halftime. It took until the 55th minute of play for the Express to score when Marco Derlly scored for the first time in his collegiate career to cut the Defender's lead to 3 (4-1). The keeper for Wells College, Sean Nemeth, exited the game early due to an injury and Joe Matala took over in goal. The Defenders would win this one 6-1.

The Express were outshot 21-1 including shots on goal (9-1). 

Men's soccer will take the field once again on Saturday at 5 pm when they host SUNY Canton.
