Wells Express Athletes of the Week 10/21

Congratulations to Roosa Armstead-Lehti and Sean Nemeth for being named Wells Express Athletes of the Week!

Roosa Armstead-Lehti is named athlete of the week for the first time in her career here at Wells. On October 18th, a home match against Keuka College, Roosa Armstead-Lehti broke a Wells College record for most digs in a game with 38! She had previously held the record with 35 and it took her only one year to break it. Roosa was nominated by her head coach Mark Lucas. She comes to Wells College from Kailua, Hawaii, and is in her sophomore season for the Express. Women's volleyball will wrap up their regular season this Saturday at Penn State Berks.

Sean Nemeth is also named Athlete of the Week for the first time in his collegiate career. Sean was selected this week because, with one game left in the men's soccer season, Sean is currently first in the United East conference in saves per game at 9.93. He is more than 4 saves better than second place! That number also puts Sean in first place in the country for division 3 schools in saves per game! Sean was nominated by his head coach Jim McIntyre. This is Sean's first year here at Wells College and he comes to us from Grand Island, New York. Men's soccer will wrap up their season this Saturday when they host Penn College.

Congratulations Roosa and Sean!

Check back each week to see who will be selected next!
