The Wells College men's soccer team opened up conference play on the road at St Mary's College of Maryland on Saturday. The Seahawks won this one 8-0.
This match marked the beginning of conference play for the Express. Last season, the Express grabbed 2 conference wins and hoped for some more success heading into this season. St Mary's was ready for the challenge today when the Express came to town. They scored 4 first-half goals and two of them came from Alex Ochman. The Seahawks would continue the offensive pressure in the second half scoring 4 more goals. Two of the second-half goals came from Ryan Cooper. Wells College took 5 total shots, 2 on goal compared to St Mary's who too k49 with 22 on goal. Sean Nemeth turned away 13 shots.
Men's soccer will be back in action tomorrow at Gallaudet University.
