Men's soccer falls to Penn College in season finale

Wells College men's soccer wrapped up their season by hosting Penn College for an afternoon conference match-up. The Wildcats would get the best of the Express in this one, 4-1.

A very physical and exciting first half saw both teams with opportunities to score. Nate Soliman nearly buried on in the first 10 minutes but was stymied by the Wildcat's keeper. The score would be 0-0 going into halftime. Joe Matale played the entire game for the Express in goal when he is normally a defender. He tallied 12 saves on the day. In the 50th minute, the Wildcats would grab a 1-0 lead off the foot of Will Gallagher. However, a minute later the Express would tie it up when Ryan Nugent buried a penalty kick into the top right corner. In the final 30 minutes, the Penn College offense would come screaming back and grab 3 goals against the Express defense. The Wildcats would ake this one 4-1.

The men's soccer team also took some time today to celebrate their 3 seniors. Nathan Soliman, Joseph Matala, and Ryan Nugent. Thank you all for your dedication to the men's soccer program!

That wraps up the season for the Express who finished with a record of 0-15 overall and 0-8 in the conference.

Express Stat Leaders:
