Wells Express Athletes of The Week 10/7

Congratulations to Grace Kahl and Ryan Nugent on being named the Wells College Express Athletes of The Week!

Ryan Nugent is a four-year starter for the men's soccer team and is wrapping up his senior season this fall. Nugent has played midfield and defense for the Express for four years. He has helped anchor the defense this season starting every game so far and has even produced shots on goal thanks to his energy getting up and down the field. This is Ryan's first time winning Athlete of the Week and he was nominated by his head coach Jim McIntyre. He comes to Wells College from West Creek, NJ where he attended Southern Regional High School. 

Grace Kahl is a three-year athlete on the Express field hockey team. In a recent game for Wells College, at Notre Dame of Maryland, Grace scored a career-high 4 goals on 5 shots tallying 8 points and helping the Express secure their first win of the season.  Kahl went on to score another goal against Medaille College to lead the Express this season in scoring with 5 total goals. This is her first time winning Athlete of the Week and Grace was nominated by her head coach Jess Galatioto. Grace comes to Wells Collge from Burlington, VT where she attended Burlington High school.
