Softball Takes on the Roo's in Canton

 Wells College softball was back on the road this afternoon to take on the Roo's of SUNY Canton for some conference action.

In game one, Serina Sheradin reached first on an error then advanced all the way to third on two wild pitches. Sheradin would steal home after a Shay Gonzales walk to give the Express an early 1-0 lead. In the fourth inning, Morgan Brown smacked a triple to left center to start the inning. She was singled home by a Megan Litzenberger single for the second run of the game from Wells College. In the fifth, Lauren Kimball leads off with a walk, followed by back-to-back hits from Serina Sheradin and Shay Gonzales that scored Kimball. the Express would get two more runs this inning on a single from Morgan Brown and an error by the Roo's. the Roo's However put up nine runs on offense and the Express could not rally in the final two innings, falling, 9-6 in game one. 

In game two, Natalie Day smacked a single scoring Anna Bernatavitz in the top of the second. Lauren Kimball later singled scoring Megan Litzenberger which was followed by an RBI single from Serina Sheradin. The Express did not score again until the fourth inning on a SAC fly from Shay Gonzales. The Express made no fielding errors in game two, but Canton scored seventeen runs on sixteen hits and four walks. Wells College fell in game two, 17-4.

Softball returns home this Friday for a doubleheader with Penn College.
