Softball Hosts The Wildcats of SUNY Poly

On Tuesday afternoon, Wells College softball hosted the SUNY Poly Wildcats for two non-conference games.

In game one the Express were stymied at the plate but the Wildcats pitcher. The Express struck out ten times in sixteen at-bats. The only hit of the game for Wells came off the bat of Anna Bernatavitz in the bottom of the fifth inning. The Wildcats on the other hand scored in every inning except the third. Over five innings they built a 12-0 lead on fourteen hits to defeat the Express.

In game two, Natalie Day started the Express off with a single to left field. Day was left on base and ended up being the only hit for Wells College in game two. The Wildcats scored in every single inning of this game including an explosive nine run fourth inning. The Express committed four errors in the game that helped SUNY Poly secure an 18-0 winning game two.
