Women's Volleyball Closes Regular Season With Split

The Wells College women's volleyball team wrapped up its regular season with a pair of non-conference matches Saturday, Oct. 29 at Misericordia University. Wells lost in four sets against Kean University and won in five sets against Misericordia.

Next up for Wells is a first-round match against Penn State-Berks in the North Eastern Athletic Conference playoffs, a 7:30 p.m. match at SUNY Polytechnic Institute on Friday, Nov. 4.

Kean 3, Wells 1

Set scores were 23-25, 25-22, 25-21, 25-16. Olyvia Brazier and Anuhea Leite-Ah Yo had 11 kills each to lead the team. Eliza Schwab served two aces and had 33 assists and 10 digs. Nadine Pershyn led the defensive work with 18 digs, and Leite-Ah Yo had 13 digs. Meredith Kadjeski had one solo block, two assisted blocks and five kills.

Wells 3, Misericordia 2

After winning the first two sets, the Express pulled out a five-set win by scores of 25-23, 25-21, 23-25, 14-25, 15-9. Brazier had 11 kills and Kadjeski had 10 kills. Pershyn had 29 digs, and Leite-Ah Yo had 19 digs. Amanda Springer had one solo block and six assisted blocks. Leite-Ah Yo had four aces while Schwab, Renee Bartosz and Brazier added two aces each.
