SUNY IT Takes Two from The Express

Aurora, NY-  Friday April 6th, the Wells College Softball team took on conference opponent SUNY IT.  In game one, the Express started with two back to back hits from senior Juli Vibbard and Freshman Shannon Blanford but their offense would struggle for the rest of the game.  The Express battled each inning putting the ball in play but would fail to reach home plate in the loss.  SUNY IT pitcher Erica Hovey would earn the win and the SUNY IT whose offense came out in the 3rd inning to stretch their lead.

 In game two, Wells would struggle again at the plate until Alyssa Acquaviva put them on the board with her solo homerun in the 6th.  Lorelei Meier pitched for the Express holding SUNY IT to 7 runs in game two.  SUNY IT's offense was led by Bianca Brown who hit two homeruns to help put SUNY IT on top of the Express.  Jae Dee Lavada would be the winning pitcher for SUNY IT.

 The Wells College Express look to regain momentum as they take on Morrisville State Saturday April 7th at home.
