On Sunday, the Wells College Field Hockey team took on Notre Dame of Maryland. The Express took down the Gators for their first win 5-0.
The Wells Express was coming off of a road loss yesterday at Lancaster Bible College. They got after it early in this one grabbing a 1-0 lead before the first quarter was over. Grace Kahl scored her first goal of the season for the Express in the 14th minute. Although Wells College was held scoreless in the second quarter, Morgan Brown scored her first collegiate goal in the 31st minute to give the Express a 2-0 lead. In the next quarter and a half, Grace Kahl scored for the Express 3 more times with one of them coming off an assist from Lauren Spiegel. Eve Kowalczyk faced two shots on goal and stopped both of them.
Wells College field hockey will take the field once again Tuesday at Medaille College.
