Field Hockey Falls at Medaille College

The Wells College field hockey team traveled to Medaille College Tuesday night. The Mavericks would win this one 5-2.

The Express came out with some energy and scored in the first minute of the game off the stick of Grace Kahl who had 4 goals over the weekend. It wasn't until the 11th minute when Medaille would tie this one up at 1 and that score would hold for the rest of the first half. The Maverick's offense would pick up in the second half scoring 4 more goals against the express defense. Rio Maeji for the express would score her first goal of the season in the 39th minute of play and put the Express only one goal behind with 21 minutes left to play. Eve Kowalczyk would tally 13 saves for the Express on the day. Medaille College would score two more goals with the remaining time and defeat the Express 5-2.

Field Hockey will be back in action Thursday at Keuka College.
