The Wells College women's volleyball team hosted Penn State Harrisburg and Penn State Berks on Saturday, Oct. 9.
Against Penn State Berks, Wells rallied in the second set to tie the match before falling in four. Berks took the first set by a 25-17 score before the Express rallied with a 25-20 win. The third and fourth set scores were 25-16 and 25-14.
Makenzie Drown had a team-high 13 kills, three blocks (two solo), and 16.5 points against Berks. Other team leaders included Sasha Lamoree with two dozen assists, and Roosa Armstead-Lehti with 18 digs and a pair of aces.
Against Penn State Harrisburg, Wells fell in three sets by set scores of 25-17, 25-18 and 25-14.
Tori Sanders had seven kills and 7.5 points. Lamoree added 16 assists, while Armstead-Lehti added 14 digs. Haylie Dixon struck for a pair of aces.
The women's volleyball team next hosts Hilbert College on Thursday, Oct. 14, with a 7 p.m. start.
