Women's Volleyball defeated by Gallaudet
Women's Volleyball traveled to Gallaudet University for a United East Conference match on Saturday.
The Express was coming off a tough loss on the road to SUNY Poly and were looking to make a last push for the postseason.
Gallaudet unfortunately came out in the first set and smothered the Express winning by a score of 25-11. Wells College fought back in the second set going down to the wire but Gallaudet prevailed by a score of 25-21. Ultimately the Express would fall in 3 straight sets as GU closed the Express out by a score of 25-13 (3-0). Caroline Barr leads the Express in kills with 5.
Later in the day, the Express faced off against Penn-St Abington. the Express were hoping to improve on their performance earlier in the day and they did just that. However, Penn-St Abington was ready for them and took the first set by a score of 25-18. The second set saw the express fall behind early and they were not able to make up the ground in time. they fell behind 2-0 after losing the second set 25-14. In the last set, the Express battled and battled but unfortunately were defeated once again in 3 straight sets by a score of 25-18 (3-0).
Women's Volleyball will be back in action Monday as they host SUNY Poly at 7 pm!
