The Wells College field hockey team hosted Earlham College on Sunday, Sept. 12.
The Express' opening quarter was its best with a one-goal difference separating the two teams. The Quakers went on to score three goals in each of the remaining quarters to take the contest.
Against Earlham, Wells goalkeeper Samya Anderson-Victor finished the contest with two dozen saves after the Quakers attempted more than 50 shots. The first-year netminder recorded her second-highest save total in a single game to date and is now just 17 saves shy of 100 for the season.
Kayla Groth was also credited with a defensive save.
For the Express, it was the second game in as many days after the team's second half rally with a pair of goals fell short the previous day. Wells has two more sets of back-to-back contests in October.
The Express complete a third game in four days by hosting Houghton College on Tuesday, Sept. 14 at 7 p.m.
