The Wells College field hockey team hosted Sweet Briar College on Saturday, Oct. 16 in the second contest of a four-game homestead at the Wells Turf Field.
Danielle Radivoy staked the Express to a 1-0 lead about 10 minutes into the game after a feed from Grace Kahl. The pair would go on to tie for the team lead in shots for the day.
Wells goalie Samya Anderson-Victor recorded nine more saves than her counterpart in the first half that allowed the Express to hold the lead at the break.
The Vixens got a pair of third quarter goals to make it a one-goal contest heading into the final quarter.
Anderson-Victor finished with 14 saves on the night. It was the first-year player's seventh double-digit save performance of the season that left her with 138 saves on the season.
Sweet Briar is one game out its conference lead in the competitve eight-team Colonial States Athletic Conference.
Wells continues its homestand with a contest against visiting Medaille College on Sunday, Oct. 17 at 12 p.m. with pregame recognition of its seniors.
