Wells Express Athletes of The Week 2/23
Congratulations to this week's Athletes of the Week Kayla Groth and Max Odum!
Kayla was selected this week after being recognized in the NFHCA Division III Scholars of Distinction. The Scholars of Distinction program recognizes student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative grade-point average of 3.9 or higher through the first semester of the 2021-22 academic year. Kayla was nominated by her coach Jessia Galatioto. Kayla is a sophomore defender on the Field Hockey team and comes to Wells College from Brockport, NY. Kayla is studying English with a concentration in creative writing.
Max Odum was selected this week based on his performance last weekend at USMMA. For the weekend, Max went 4-8 hitting .500. He tallied 2 walks, 1 stolen base, 1 double, 1 RBI, and 2 total runs. Max was nominated by his coach Ryan Stevens. Max comes to Wells College from Elmira, NY. He is a sophomore currently studying health sciences.
