Four Wells College Men’s Lacrosse Players Named All-NEAC

LATHAM, N.Y. - The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) announced its 2021 Men's Lacrosse All-Conference Teams with four Wells College men's lacrosse players having been named to the second team. Jacob Stine (North Tonawanda, N.Y.), Quinten Battle (Seneca Falls, N.Y.), Trevor Stein (Spencerport, N.Y.) and Justin Dude (Hilton, N.Y.) were selected from the Express.

Stine was selected at the attack position after leading Wells in goals with 13, shots with 54, shots on goal with 33 and tied-first in points with 14. Of Stine's 13 goals, four came by way of special teams with three man-up goals and one man-down goal. Stine also finished with 14 groundballs and a pair of caused turnovers in six games played.

Battle was selected at the midfield position after leading the team in faceoff wins with 27 and tying for the team lead in points with 14 and assists with four. Battle finished second on the team in goals with 10, caused turnovers with eight, shots with 47 and shots on goal with 24. The junior's 20 groundballs placed him fourth on the team in six games played.

Stein was selected as a short-stick midfielder after finishing second on the team in groundballs with 22. The senior was third on the team in assists with three, shots with 26, shots on goal with 17 and faceoff wins with a dozen. Stein also had six points with three goals and three caused turnovers in six games played.

Dude was selected at the defense position after leading the team in caused turnovers with 10 and tying for the team lead in assists with four. Dude also finished third on the team in groundballs with 21 in six games played.

All-Conference is composed of two teams of 28 total players, each comprised of three attackmen, three-to-four midfielders, three-to four-defenders, one long-stick midfielder, one short-stick midfielder, one faceoff specialist and one goalie.

The conference has awarded Zach Nestor (SUNY Morrisville) as its offensive player of the year, Dylan Laplace (SUNY Morrisville) as its defensive player of the year, Daniel Jackson (Penn College) as its rookie of the year and Jordan Williams (Penn College) as coach of the year.
