Stein Named to 2021 NEAC Men’s Lacrosse All-Sportsmanship Team

LATHAM, N.Y. – Wells College senior Trevor Stein was one of six players from the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) named to its Men's Lacrosse All-Sportsmanship Team for the 2021 season.

The Rome native, who plays midfield and defense for the Express, appeared in all six games this past season and finished with three goals, three assists, six points, 22 groundballs, 12 faceoff wins and three caused turnovers.

The NEAC All-Sportsmanship Team recognizes student-athletes who epitomize the ideals of sportsmanship. Student-athletes selected to the all-sportsmanship team demonstrate fair play, graciousness in victory and respectfulness in defeat. Each individual has been chosen by their coach as a representative who embodies the Division III spirit.

Joining Stein on the 2021 NEAC Men's Lacrosse All-Sportsmanship team are Graham Purdy (Penn College), Nathan Petrarco (La Roche), Brandon Bitka (Hilbert), Zach Nestor (Morrisville) and Matt Kennedy (Medaille).

These six lacrosse players are ambassadors for their teams, both on and off the field, and galvanize their teammates toward their goals. They exhibit respect for themselves, teammates, coaches, opponents, officials, spectators, and the greater campus community.
