Women's Volleyball Loses On the Road

Wells women's volleyball traveled to Utica University Saturday for their second meeting this season. Utica took down the Express 3-0.

In the first set, Wells fell behind 14-5 early. They were able to battle back and cut the lead to only 5 at 20-15. Unfortunately, late serves from Sasha Lamoree could not put the Express over the top and the Pioneers won 25-20. The second set did not go the way of Wells College either. Utica jumped out to a 5-0 lead and never let the Express fight their way back into this one. Miah Williamson helped the Express tied it up at 11 but the Pioneers would outscore the Express 14-7 the rest of the way and win the second set. In the third set, it was once again tied up, this time at 10 all. The Utica offense would prove to be too much for the Express to handle and Wells would fall 25-17.

Women's Volelyball will be back in action Wednesday at SUNY Oswego.

Express Stat Leaders:

Caroline Barr - 11 digs

Lexi Carfi - 13 assists
