Women's volleyball secures road win at Elmira

Wells College women's volleyball hit the road for Elmira College on Wednesday night. The Express won decisively 3-1.

The Express came out a bit sluggish after the bus ride and dropped the first set to Elmira. Although they kept the set close the whole time, they could not finish off the Eagles. In the second set, the Express built a lead up to 21-15. Serves from Sasha Lamoree and Roosa Armstead-Lehti helped secure their first set win of the night 25-19. The Express went on a 7-point scoring streak in the second set to grab a lead of 17-9. Miah Williamson helped put away the Eagles with both serves and kills for the Express who won the third set 25-18. The Eagles did their best not to let the Express take 3 straight sets on their home court, but a late kill from Makenzie Drown put Elmire away 25-21.

Women's volleyball will wrap up their regular season this Saturday at Penn St Berks.

Express Stat Leaders:

Miah Williamson - 23 kills, 4 aces

Morgan Adams - 14 kills, 8 digs
